i got an old akg 451 eb on theway too, i also scored the blue capsule off there ebay store for $ 400 opposed to $450... i feel like i scored a good mic here cant wait to here it..... ive been using an old cad equitek condenser , for my 1st mic , it sounds ok, i need to upgrade my pre, im goin for the hamptone hptv2...... later nice score on the 414..!!

i had thought bout the peluso mics too , but heard there made in usa but parts are from china, so that scared me.... i hope the 451 with the blue cap will be nice sounding.......

different mikes. i dig my 451's - but the cheaper small diaphragms are pretty rad...still you made a good buy.

i really want to hear the new 414's...the buzz is good...and i want my old B/ULS back for snare.
