Tchad Blake / gearlust video

Post by leigh » Wed Mar 03, 2004 2:44 am

Just came across this video:

http://realworldrecords.com/josepharthu ... ntent.html

It's the first one on the page, called "in the studio." It's a video for a Joseph Arthur song, and it's got Tchad Blake, Joseph, and lots of shots of gear (at Real World studios). They're just sitting around mixing. What a trip.

Beware, this is a huge file.

Hmmmm

That video really seems weird under that song. Like it's just not right....

Anyway, nice Spectrasonics 610s!

No, no. It brings up a quicktime movie that, for the first several seconds, is just a still frame with a number of interactive buttons. One of the buttons says "buy", but that is a link to buy the album that the song is from.

Like I mentioned, it's a huge file. I think it took me 15 minutes to get the whole thing, over DSL. So until it loads enough of the movie, it won't start playing it. Although, if your browser gives you transport controls under the video frame, you can force it to start playback before it has buffered enough data.

Try again, mis amigos.

no, its uncool to dig toto in europe. Its also uncool to dig toto in ohio. difference being, while you are being uncool in europe diggging toto, its ok, because you are in europe the land where heineken tastes like beer and snickers bars have awesome chocolate. when you are being uncool digging toto in ohio, you are in ohio, heineken tastes like ass and snickers bars are nothing to get excited about.

I would like to open a recording studio in a castle, but alas I live in the states so I have to do it in a strip mall. kill me, please.
