Also -- must put in a second or third vote for that Hoobastank band. Even without hearing a note of their music, I know exactly what they sound like.

A couple friends and I resolved to calling ourselves the Fucking Fucking Champs, or maybe the Fucking Throwing Muses. Then we realized that FOGHAT pronounced 'faggot' was far superior.

There is, or was a band from here in Cincinnati called Uncle Daddy and the Family Secret. I kind of like that one, so I guess it doesn't fit in the thread.

I thought Radiohead was a pretty crap name for ages then I started to remember those stories about people picking up stations on their mercury amalgam. Which made it more interesting. Then I also had this friend who went 'section 8' and literally got all these voices in his head - loads of them. So again I thought the name got better.

There is a Taking Head's song called "Radio Head," which Radiohead took their moniker from, as an homage to one of their favorite bands. The song is terrible though!

Oh, thank you! A friend and i are taliking about making "The Ultimate Rock Song For The New Millenium" where the lyrics are just a description of what's going on in the song. IE:

Sung: "This is the first verse of the song where I talk about how I feel empty inside, and I allude to the fact that you broke up with me, yeah."

Telephone voice: "Ooohhh, and then I use a telephone voice to insinuate that I am having crazy thoughts inside my head. And then comes the..."

(Eight Overdubbed crowd) "ANGRY CHORUS! ANGRY CHORUS! SCREAMINGANGRYCHORUS! ANGRYCHORUS-ANGRYCHORUS!" repeat.
