i know it happens a lot in stuff with transformers..
i tried opening up the power supply case (the mixer is an allen and heath GS3 16x8) and poked at it with a plastic fork. the vibration stopped for about 10 minutes then it started again.
the cord that connects the power supply to the board is short so i have to keep the PS in the same room. the extra noise is driving me nuts! prior to this i had finally gotten my room to be really quiet it was great!
any tips on getting rid of it for good? (and dont say throw the piece of crap mixer away ok? )
thank you in advance...

I too am very interested in the answer. I posted the exact same question a while back and got no response. I hate this noise and I want to make it stop. I am a fairly competent d.i.y. tech, but I am too afraid of high voltage to mess around. Somebody must have an answer to this question....

Same here. Have the same problem with the wallwart (non-removable) in my Furman spring reverb. I'm always afraid its going to blow up.
Re: mixer power supply transformer is humming
I had the same problem with my Neotek power supply and also with a Furman voltage regulator. I went to the hardware store and got neoprene washers and de-coupled the transformer from the case. This greatly reduced the buzzing in the room.
As far as the wall-warts go, I think you are fucked!
