AMAZING

I was just turning my friend on to Jason Falkner last night. (no pun intended in reference to the boner joke!!!) He was big into Jellyfish back in college, but suprisingly had heard NONE of Falkner's solo records. A shame for sure. That's some good stuff!

Falkner rules!!!

but, McCartney.... eh..... lost his cool a long, long time ago.

why do so many people blame yoko for breaking up the beatles, when it was clearly paul the dictator who killed the vibe?

was never into Jellyfish, but the instrumental beatles album he made (Bedtime With the Beatles) is great, and our 8-month old daughter agrees!

Naaah, Paul's OK. Thumbs up and all that. His last album was only about 35 % crap and that's pretty good by Macca standards. He did it with Abe Laboriel Jr. on drums and a good, young rock band backing him up, live onto a 1" 8 track and it sounds great. His last tour was fabulous, one of teh best large concerts I've ever seen. He wrote some killer tunes in the early 70s, post Beatles. The first few Wings albums are really strong. he's just always had a high threshhold for letting the dodgy tunes make it to the album. You check it out if you don't believe me. Get yourself a copy fo Wingspand and see if you don't come around. He's at least as good as Emmitt Rhodes.

I can think of worse people for Paul to record with. Much worse and much more likely.

yeah, 2" 8 track, that's why the bass sounds so huuuuuge.

I thought it was 16 track, according to the liner notes. Besides, Crapitol's cds are ALWAYS bass heavy.

No. Definitely not me. I'd be down the list a ways for sure. I do think Mitchell Froom would be a really, really interesting choice for Paul though.

I heard Paul McCartney was working with Steve Albini at Electrical with backing by the guys from Jesus Lizard. Should be good.
