digi's deal on Plug-ins

Post by Current Resistance » Fri Apr 16, 2004 7:26 am

digidesign is offering these plug-ins for 120 bucks to Mbox owners (apparently thats 1000 dollars off regular price)

*Cosmonaut Voice
* JOEMEEK SC2 Compressor
* JOEMEEK VC5 Meequalizer
* Maxim
* moogerfooger Analog Delay

Just thought id get some input as to whether these are decent plug-ins or not! i'm semi-familiar with joemeek stuff, but what about the other stuff? Worth getting? They also offer another 5 plugs for digi002 owners (10 total).

so, is it worth it?

ive used the joemeek compressor and eq, and the moogerfoogers (these were the bomb factory versions in digital performer)

they were all really good. even tho i kinda hate to admit it. probably the least usable of the bunch was the joemeek eq, but even that was kinda cool too!

the joemeek comp almost sounds like the real thing too.

for $120 it seems like a really good deal.

i havent used the other plugs you mentioned.

Aside from the "cosmonaut" one (?),

they are all really cool. I like maxim, because it is a limiter, with auto make up gain, and a MIX control!

I love layering a squished backing vocal group with an unsquished one with maxim.

That plug in has been around forever.

The joe meek comp is cool, and yeah the EQ is a little lame, but whatever.
That is a good deal.

cool, thanks.

i looked up the cosmonaut one and its a voice modeler of some kind. It does different radio transmission sounding voices, which is good for me because I do film work. It's not always easy to EQ a voice to sound like its coming through a CB radio or something.

i think i'll have to pick this bundle up, since im really lacking ANY decent plug-ins.
