new daddy!!

Post by theslumlord » Fri Jun 20, 2003 11:41 am

I became a daddy for the first time this week. :P A boy! :D
It's awesome. I had no idea I'd like it this much.
It's the first time, in a long time, that I've had no desire to be in my studio.

This rocks!!

I've two little ones myself. Raising kids is not unlike working on a recording; it's so hard, it doesn't make sense, you can't stop, it keeps you up at night, it does things you don't want it to, and yet it is so full of joy, you feel jumping up and down. Sometimes it makes you embarrassed or frustrated, but sometimes it makes you very very proud. And you would never change any of those things.
Congratulations! And to the mother, as well.

Yah, my wife gave birth to out first child three weeks ago. All I can say is it's amazing. As a result, I haven't hardly touched a guitar or fired up the studio. But that's ok. Right now life is about something bigger and when the time and energy is right, I'll be back to music!!! Enjoy the little guy. I can already tell in the three weeks that our son was born he's already changed. People always told me it happens faster than you can imagine and I think I see what they mean.
