I'm sitting here watching American Idol and reading this post and I have to steal Simon's critique of the red-headed kid's attempt at latin music (it's Gloria Estefan night, UGH!!) and direct it towards ampguy and his playing.
Ampguy and guitar playing go together as well as chocolate ice cream and an onion.
any budget dvd-a studio folks here?

I am a blues man. I am what I am. God gave me this gift to share with others.

Man - you guys are seriously cold. If you don't dig the playing you don't dig it - but why come down on this guy so hard?
Anyway - to get back on topic - I am definitely thinking of trying out Discwelder Bronze so that I can finally be able to hear my mixes on my home stereo the same way I hear them when I play them back from my DAW - but I think it is delusional to think that releasing an indie disc on DVD-A is worth the expense considering the cost would be more but the sales will be much less than a CD release.
Best regards,
Steve Berson

My band is going to release a full length cd and dvdA in the fall. We are going to package them together. This way you have a cd for the car and home essentially. Yes it costs more but the difference bet 16/44.1 and 24/96 is just crazy.
We do acoustic rock type stuff and we definitely hear the difference between the 2.

Mike,
I think my solo project will be out sooner, and will be 24/192, or 24/176, but won't have graphics, and stereo only not surround.
But it's great to hear from another tape-oper doing dvd-a!
