Ratatat

has anyone heard this new band from NY? they have a great album out... it reminds me of daft punk as well as zapp & roger, but it is really different and cool in its own way. great mix of rock and electronic... really cool guitar sounds. it makes me think i'm on a sega genesis and it's 1990 again.

this is probably the best laptop rock i've ever heard. this is what i wish postal service could do more of, hehe.

here's a free mp3 from their label: http://www.xl-recordings.com/mp3/audio/ ... nYears.mp3

and website: http://www.ratatatmusic.com

really fun stuff! has anyone else heard of them?

yeah - that mp3 was cool. That is kind of what I want to do when I get my Midibox Sid up and running - nothing beats 8 bit synth stuff - btw - there are other people that listen to zapp and roger?

Excellent stuff. Came along for me at a great time, as i had just pulled out the ol' eBow and did some 20-track layering for a chorus part. Totally inspiring, but now i feel almost like a ripoff doing much more on this song after hearing the album.

I keep thinking this is what Robert Fripp would be doing if he were about 25-30 today. Does anyone know of anything else of theirs that's online? I can't wait to hear more...
