MXL2001 and M-Audio AudioBuddy Mic Pre $29 @ GC

Just an FYI,

For you cheapos like me...

I heard from a friend who works @ Guitar Center that they are blowing out the Marshall MXL2001 and the 2 channel Audio Buddy for $29. This weekend only. He told me it should be at all stores. Call your local GC to confirm.

My buddy is a Pro Audio department manager at a GC store. He looked it up on the compooper to confirm. So, make sure you have the guy look it up. I'm not sure it is advertised as such. Yes it is for a large condensor Marshall MXL2001 and the 2 channel M-Audio Audio Buddy. Obvisously it is waaaay below cost. Crap I have a hammer that costs more than $29.

talked to a guy in the nashville GC yesterday. he told me that the sale was going on but i don't think they're advertising it. you just have to ask for it. i guess that's the situation.

Someone already did that at the store near me... and by a bunch, he bought ALL of them. Share the love guys... come on. He'll probably have a gigantic Ebay auction and sell that at $10 less than retail.

yeah, are you talking about the GC on commonwealth? if there's even a rumour of a sale everything is scooped up by like 1 guy before anyone else can get there. i missed out on gettting that Groove Tubes ditto for 100 bucks because of people buying all of them on sale.....

Last night, the Austin GC actually had the email printed out on the counter, and they reported the deal was actually "buy the mxl 2001 (for $100) and get the Audio Buddy for $29 extra", but the guy mentioned that "the way it's written, it's been confusing people all day".

Eh. I don't have time to look at the royer mod now, and i've got other uses for $100.

a friend of mine called GC after i told him this $100 for the mic, 29 for the pre update. and he told me they still said, 29 for both things. so, i'll be heading up there soon..

I bought one last night at the SF store. There is a lot of confusion and even the salesperson couldn't believe that the mic and pre were $29. Tell them to ask the manager and he/she will okay the sale.

About six more pairs left in San Francisco. Good luck
