is Lambchop creepy or what?

Post by logancircle » Sun Jun 29, 2003 2:13 pm

Is it just me or is Lambchop creepy as all hell? I have the album with the first song that starts "Thought I Felt a Chill." I think it's 'How I Quit Smoking.' The strange halting style of singing, that quiet grooving up-close guitar, the odd references to a guy who's "asleep, or at least that's what I call him." It feels so strange to me. Does anyone feel me?

That's one of the best sounding record ever. There's so much going on but it's all so hushed.

That's it exactly, hushed. The feeling that something's about to explode, but it never really does, not in the way that all the layers are preparing you for. Was that album done on tape?
