'cause I'm a cheesy guy.

I have NO idea if this is taken. so many variances on the 'spelling' you could put it in, well.. it's hard to google.

my pal just called one he's started up at this youth center "Secret Level", which is great. maybe he could have a side mix room called "Bonus Round" or something.
My studio is called Susstudio after Phil Collins, also. Ha! I trademarked the spelling.

Third Monk or Third Monk Mobile typically.

The name came from this:

In the dictionary, there is the definition of the word 'monk'. There is also the name of the big guy, "Thelonious Monk" and I would be the wonk with the computer (the 'Third Monk' so to speak) that basically crafts 'hand made' albums like a Belgian Monk would make those wonderful Belgian Ales at the Abbey.

Did someone say Belgium and beer?! New Belgium Brewing Company baby. Kick@ss beer.

Anyway, we're still under construction but the name is already picked out. We are located in Evergreen, Colorado and my wife came up with 'Evergroove'. You can almost read the t-shirts now...

'Do YOU Evergroove?'

Peace,
Brad

i decided recently that my studio will have no name. at least for a while. i didnt like how naming it would limit possibilities.

naming it would be like putting a noose around its neck with unsharpened pencils supporting its feet.

i also think it's better that people just refer to me and my work by my regular name.

in the past it has been magnetic cancer (like when i was 18, what a stupid name!) and boot camp studio.

Mine is Get Reel Studios. duh.....

It probably was a bad idea cause people might be like "oh get a real studio" or some crap like that. I just couldn't think of anything better...

i call it big toe recording because a roommate in college had a big toe i loved to write on...oh marcia where are you now... but no one really likes to use the name on their records...so i'm changing it when i set up as a business...for the past few years i pretty much call it 'my room'...'your house'...'my stuff i haul around'...whatever....

later-
Mike
