Hey, I'm thinking of selling off my RCA 77d that is refurbed & showchromed.

But business aside, it's kinda funny that for as much as I'm not partial to single point stereo, I've always been fascinated by the Soundfield Microphones. No great wonder of sound - actually very neutral for the obvious reasons, but they are so damn cool.

ha! professor - i wrote a paper in college about soundfield mics and ambisonics... fascinating stuff, isn't it..? :)

that'd be a nice mic to have. very versatile and amazing. it's one of those things where it'd completely change how you approach recording. COMPLETELY.

i'd like a 414, honestly. i'm humble.

I would kill for a mint Telefunken U47.
However a Neumann CMV3 would be the ultimate microphone to any serious collection.
