mic pre's???

Post by otter » Sun Aug 15, 2004 9:24 pm

been thinking about buying one of the focusrite 428's.
but i've been hearing that since digidesign has been meddling with their technology that they've been cutting a lot of corners with the circuitry and their stuff isn't worth a damn now.
if so, any ideas on some good one or two rack space multi-channel mic pre's?
anyone? anyone?...

I assume that you have $1600 to spend if you are considering the Focurite 428. In that price range there are many options. Personally, if I had $1600 I would get the Chandler TG2.

I'm looking into getting one of those FMR RNP jobs. Its a two channel, solid state pre. It retails for about $475.00.

I must warn ya though - yours isn't a very popular question around these parts! :) Its been asked lots of times. Use the search function and you'll find a wealth of info.
