Mixing Board Question

Post by BooRadley » Mon Aug 23, 2004 2:17 pm

A friend recently gave me his old TOA RX-216 mixing board. I've never owned anything like it and i'm a bit confused by it. It doesn't appear to have individual "outs" for each track. I was hoping to be able to send each channel to a separate track of my eight track, but i'm not sure this is possible--am I missing something obvious, or am I just going to have to settle for sending out two channels (the main left and rights) at a time?

Things do sound lovely through it, though, and the built in echo is fantastic.

forgive my cluelessness,
B

Check this out:

According to the manual, you can take an output signal from the effects insert, using TRS jacks. However, it appears as if you'd be bypassing the eq section by doing so, nullifying one big reason for using a board for tracking in the first place. Give it a read...
