where do you buy your cable
I'm going to pick up a few TRS to TRS snakes, and some Digital Spdif cable and I was just wondering where do you all buy your cable?
Best Price?
Highest Quality?

Re: where do you buy your cable
So far I've bought all of my cable's through Musician's Friend at www.musiciansfriend.com
I typically buy Mogami cable and assemblies and they have the best prices I've found so far.

Markertek seems to have good prices, but Have Inc
http://www.haveinc.com/ was a wee bit cheaper for what I was ordering. I just got my shipment today (200 meters raw Canare star-quad cable, 100 loose connectors XLR and TRS Neutrik and some new brand). I will be making long and medium mic cables and a bunch of patch cables for the next 2 weeks the way I solder. Overall, the average cable length is 4 meters at a cost of $7.80 a cable. I will never buy assembled cables again.
The person on the phone was helpful and pleasant. I called because the web-site ordering didn't make perfect sense. One connector that was said to be on back order for a week turned out to be on back order until just after Christmas. They got right in touch with me when they found out and helped me get a comparable (but slightly more expensive) type. The person who got in touch with me was very apologetic, stayed in touch and seemed to be personally handling my order throughout. Very professional.

Re: where do you buy your cable
I usually roll with musicians friend cause I prefer pre assembled cables. I know they can be sketchy, but I go for the cheap plug and play, baby@!
If I do decide to start making my own I'll deff, check out the other sites. Thanks!

redco. http://www.redcoaudio.com/
great family owned business, tapeop advertisers. if i were you i'd fire up the soldering iron and get the raw materials from them - and do it yourself. i'm sure if you searh the archives you'll find many many recomendations for them.

www.performanceaudio.com
this place has served me well. they will hand make any variety of cable/connector/length to order for about the price that you would make them for yourself.
i've had no problems with them.

I think I'm going to try these guys next, they seem to have good prices and range from cheap to higher quality.

I second Pacific Radio. Also because they are local, but they are also damn nice people who give a shit.
Re: where do you buy your cable
If you want "cheap plug and play" and "highest quality", and you're not into the DIY, Redco also sells snakes pre-made. Their TGS cable is meant to be directly comparable to Mogami, and is way cheaper. I like mine a lot. Surely a better price/quality ratio than musicians whatever.
