I myself am looking to buy some of this stuff from markertek. Seems like a good deal and I'm lookign to just break down on the echo in the room.. Would this be a decent choice? Seems like this Owens corning stuff might be hard to come by unless you are a contractor...

OR maybe it's easier to find in Los Angeles? I'm in the valley any ideas where to find this stuff?

the main difference between fiberglass and foam is that the fiberglass absorbs better at lower frequencies.

if you're just trying to kill a flutter problem in the mids or highs, foam will do fine. for general deadening, and especially for help with low end problems (which almost all of us not working in superhuge rooms have), fiberglass is much better.

Careful on the shipping with Markertek - I bought 2 54"x54" sheets, 3 inches thick. $60 total for both sheets. Then I was molested for $40 shipping. That $40 does not show up on your emailed confirmation/bill. Good product, though.

ditto on the thanks for the shipping tip. I'm going to do some lookign around LA for some owens corning. If i can't find anything I'm going to go the foam by mail route... Also, been looking on ebay. Seems like some good deals on there as well.

I give up on finding OWens Corning in LA. Called several places. No one has it. :(. Foambymail.com it is!
