Hey there. I am going to AES. I signed up to volunteer but I have not gotten confirmation or a volunteer sched. Anyone out there heard from the vol. coordinator? I would be into meeting people. Count me into any "cult" activities.

i might just wear a shirt that says " hi my name is christian, from sacramento, yada yada yada." that will make it easy for anyone to just come up to me and start a conversation.

Holy shit....that ain't cheap. I live in SF and would love to go if someone had an extra ticket floating around..... :D

But I'm definitely going to attend the open lecture sessions at Hyde St. Studios all weekend (as listed in the tapeop emailer).

Who else can I expect to see there?

David.

Thanks supafuzz! The passes are an 'exhibits-only pass', but I'll gladly take it. I wouldn't have enough time to hit all the talks I'd want to see anyways.

Why don't you go to the volunteer reg. on the first day and ask if any of the volunteers didn't show up. Then you will have your pass for free. It is worth a try. Go to the AES website and look under the "students" section in the conference area.

Go see the new buchla 200 in person and write about it so I can lust vicariously. You can get an invite to their exhibit at Buchla.com

I'm so sad. Today I found out I that I can't go to the show. It sucks cause I even had a volunteer spot set up. I have midterms on Thursday and Friday.

Can you post your orientation time so someone else can maybe take your spot and get a volunteer opportunity?
