Shure Unidyne 545 differences

Post by loosegravel » Tue Oct 05, 2004 5:32 pm

Been looking around at older shure dynamics on the bay after reading the Tapeop interview with Rudy. He mentioned the 545's as his favorite, anyone know the difference between the various types (545s, 545sd, plain old 545, etc...)? I'd love some info on them or any general info on old dynamics (not just shures) if anyone has any tips.

uh, there are alot more informed sources on here but I believe the 545 is basically a 57
the 545 sd has dual impedance

the 545sh has the same capsule but look like it has a handle with it's built in mic holder/on/off switch

I think there's another 545 that is hi-z and has a hard-wired 1/4" plug

Im pretty sure they are all are based on the same capsule
