Akai DPS to Protools

Post by Mzkguy » Tue Oct 19, 2004 9:19 am

Anyone out there export files from an Akai DPS24 into Protools? Can it be done and if so how? I don't have a manual for the Akai so I'm kinda flailing about.

if you haven't found it already head on over to DPS World. They'll answer your questins over there. It's a pretty responsive board.

Thanks for the easyboard link. DPS world had the answers, though I had to dig for a bit...not like here. For all those interested DPS will export BWAV files so Protools can read them.

A client of mine has one and is looking to transfer his files into my PT rig. I haven't used one to be honest. I just wanted to make sure that I could read the files before I took on the gig. It sounds like it's a pretty cool "all-in-one" box though.

I love my DPS16, and it is capable of exporting WAV files. I can't imagine the 24 would have gotten rid of this feature.
