Is it possible. whats the easiest and cheapest way and what equipment I need. If i need a computer can I use my PC laptop? Can Tascam MS 16 be the master? I am tracking drums with 4416 (digital workstation) at the remote location and I'd like to do additional overdubs onto analog tape without having to transfer drums to tape....I could use the extra tracks too...
thanks

What can the 4416 chase? If it can chase MTC (MIDI time code), then it's not too hard to do.
A box like a JL Cooper PPS (cheap on Ebay) should do it...it'll print timecode to a track on the MS16, then read it back, and turn it into MTC for the 4416 to follow.
That's assuming the 4416 can follow MTC. If it won't, your options are more painful & expensive. Does the manual mention synchronization?
