Gotta throw in a link for local favorite www.parasol.com. Lots of new releases, with a fair amount on vinyl. They also have a wide selection of 80s and 90s alterna singles, etc. Nice folks as well.

fantastic shop. every time I went to visit my friend in Richmond, this was one of two "must hit" locations (the other being Lee's Chicken).BEARD_OF_BEES wrote:i also really like the plan9 record store in Richmond Va. i dont think they have a webpage

A place like that def exists. i used http://store.acousticsounds.com/ to get the new Elliott Smith on 180g vinyl and OK Computer, the same. Really fast shipping, easy to use. Also I pre-ordered Wilco's A Ghost Is Born. Pretty cheap, too.
