Biamp Olympia 24 ???

Post by japmn » Wed Dec 15, 2004 12:35 pm

I may be purchasing a biamp Olympia 24 on ebay but I do not really know much about this console or company. It looks like I may be able to get a good deal but I'm not sure how much is too much to pay for the board. It will be used for tracking
to Nuendos via delta 1010.
any information would be great.

i think its 5532 based..im guessing its similar to the soundcraft stuff maybe a tad better..i have a biamp balanced spring reverb at work and its well built and sounds good..new 24 channel Soundcrafts cost 2k-3k new so if your getting it for cheap its probably worth it..in reality it probably worth at the most 800$ if it has a good sound..

Biamp still exists, although now they only do theater sound systems. You can look them up on the web & email them questions about stuff no longer made - they answered my question about a biamp quad limiter that was given to me. Problem is they may not have much info on file, but the good news is they seem to be willing to share whatever they've got.

good luck, let us know how it sounds if you get it
