Echoplex Repair

Post by myphx » Fri Dec 17, 2004 7:21 pm

I found a small company online - "Fuzzorama", that says they can repair my Echoplex. Does anyone know of anyone else that specializes in repairing vintage Echoplexes?

Also I am curious about anyones experiences in sending out equipment for repairs through the mail. How can I tell if the party doing the job is legit?

Hey
fuzzorama is great
I sent him my echoplex and my korg space echo
he rebuilt the motor on my echoplex and it has worked great with 3 years of heavy use
make sure you double box your plex...ups and fedex will do some damage if you dont

The Fuzzorama fellow is very nice, and though I didn't have the same luck with his repair, he is a kind person. Perhaps the Space Echo is much harder to fix than an echoplex as well. I think the worst you could lose is a little bit of time by trying him.

I have a maestro echoplex to repair as well, so if I find something other than Fuzzorama, I'll let you know.

Best,
H

Also...
most good techs can work on them so maybe seek out a local tech so you dont have to ship it
