Audio Test Gear

Post by earth tones » Thu Dec 23, 2004 12:02 pm

I am looking to pick up a few pieces of test equipment, namely a frequency counter and an oscilloscope, however I am not sure where to go in terms of brands and characteristics. I am sure that most oscilloscopes are equipped for uses far beyond those for which I will employ it. Any advice on what to look for and ease of calibration? Thank you

Do you want to use any of it as a musical instrument?

Not really, I guess if the frequency counter could double as a tone generator that would be useful. But no real plans to implement them musically.
