An Invitation....

Post by Dave Baker » Mon Aug 04, 2003 4:33 pm

I host a show on World Talk Radio called In The Mix, geared toward the home recordist. I like to play home-made music as part of the show, so if you have something you'd like me to play just send me a link to it (or email me the mp3 if you don't have it posted on the net). Thanks! There shouldn't be any shame in that. I'll tell all my clients about it. Sounds great.

Sounds like a good show, but I went to listen to the archive and I can't listen on my Mac - "the file format is invalid." Must be the latest Windows Media format or something (audio mp3 encoded maybe?). Usually WMP files play fine for me. Streaming seems to work though, so I guess that's good. I'd also be a little afraid to hear my music streamed at 20Kbps, but I will definitely try to tune in next Saturday to check it out.

Thanks for your replys... The first few shows were archived at 20k wma mono - OK for talk radio, not great for music. I've since started streaming live at 128k and 20k wma stereo and archiving at 64k and 20k stereo wma. I've had fun doing this radio thing and have had some great guests. The live show is now Thursdays 11A- 12N Pacific Time as of this week (the WTR website will be updated to reflect that). Thanks again....

Hello all, I'm a long time reader of the mag (well, since 2000 anyway), but just signed on to the board.
Dave, I just emailed you with a link to my Geocities page with tunes. Hope you can use it.

Hey Dave,

Thanks for the interest in Bayen's music. I emailed you the mp3.

Just in case I don't hear back from you before the show...can anyone tell me where to hear the show in Philly?

Thanks

www.bigon.org I did those keygoard sounds with an old roland s09
analog synth, the track sounds like shit. I fucked up the drums in "vegas"
it was may only digital atempt. also www.juhdajohnson.com I worked
on that a couple of years ago.

Hey,

A belated thanks to all who've sent stuff for airplay to the show...there's some great talent here! The invite is still open to all who want exposure for their music, plus, we had a chance to talk with a guy named Larry a while back you all may have heard of. Thanks again...
