help me name my studio.

here's the info:

analog (studer a80, MCI JH110)
maybe a small neve broadcast board (still trying to figure out the feasability)
digital (logic)

in a basement on broadway in williamsburg (under the jmz train, but no real noise problems) with tile floors, drywall with wood treating, some nice 4' thick bluestone walls, some brick. mostly rock, electronic, and folk stuff. it's my loft, so it's very 'at home-ey' feeling... not too seshed out. i can't come up with a good name, and i want to start making a website for it. definately a confortable, old school vibe to everything. the address is 435, if people like numbers.

goobertron studio doesn't quite sound right to me.

JMZ Studio.

Sounds cool and will help people remember exactly where it is.

yeah i mean. something short like the broadway loft or something. Cozy but short and sweet. Not to mention, good-sounding.

Somehow 'the loft' just doesn't seem to work for a basement with four foot thick walls.
I'm feeling something more like 'the sound fortress' or 'sonic vault' or some similar arrangement.

"Sonic Crematorium's Energetic High-Five Fun Time Recording Facility"

That would look awesome in the phone book

How about "Bluestone Studio"?

Lot's of rockin' interpretations in that one. Sounds good, too.

I honestly think it should be called Toaster 3000. And your little dude should hang on a shingle outside.

Wait--that's a Thom Yorke thingy, isn't it. Well, he posts here, right? Ask him permission.

Toaster 3000 would look so fantastic on liner notes--tracked at Toaster 3000.

Are there old Polish guys hobbling by all the time? And hipsters in Buddy Holly glasses? i remember the last time I was there--waiting to get off the L at Bedford--and when the train stopped thirty-seven skinny 25-year-old white guys got up all at once. Awesome.

I vote for Basement On Broadway. That's a good one. You have an acronym, if you're into the whole brevity thing.
