Yeah, but I don't think Mal thought about phase relationship when he set up the stage. It simply involved aesthetics, IMO.bradb wrote:also, its interesting to note the amp that is inline with the bass drum... could this be the bass amp? I've heard that lining up the bass drum and bass cab matches the phase of the two and maximized the punch of bass/kick.
what do you think?

Re: Cool Beatles Pic....
Check out the great interview with Glenn D. White in TapeOp #39 where he talks about setting up sound for the Beatles at the Seattle Center in '64....
Or better yet, go here for the extended version, with a great picture of John and Paul singing into an EV655C (!!!!).
I used exclamation points because those are dynamic onmis--not exactly a mic I would associate with stagework at (for those days) high volumes...
Anyway, it's an interesting read...

You know...if you wanted to get into a semantic argument then you could say that Strat0tele did do a search on the "glorious" internet for his answer and found it, here! The TapeOp message board is an internet based forum (natuarlly) and Stratotele was searching for the answer to his question from those who already had the answer. So in all actuality he used the most efficient means of having his question answered by posting it here, where the source of the question came from in the first place. That's just playing devils advocate and having a bit of fun though...no harm. Back to the topic at hand now gents.Catoogie wrote:Like I said "Ya know sometimes you can do a little work and do a fucking search for stuff? The internet is a glorious thing."

Anyone here use the 655C?
I love dynamic omnis (especially EVs) and would love to drive one around the block sometime...

I just picked up an EV636 that looks similar to the 655. Also omni.

Woah pal, it was just a simple question. I had a good idea of what it was and I was right, but I just wanted to see since in the discussion it was brought up.Catoogie wrote:Oh Fuck me man!!! from another site "A junction box is a box used only for connecting wires together."
