if the brown note does exist, does someone want to volunteer to make a DIY brown note generator?

Bag End claims that their D18E-R 2x18" cabinet is flat down to 8 Hz. It handles 800W. That's low enuff for brown note experiments, surely. And it only weighs 140 lbs. It's a front loaded design, though, so it's probably not as efficient as a horn. (I'm just quoting stuff I read on the internet, BTW)

Or dig the EAW KF940 "super sub". It has 2x12" with a 13 foot folded bass horn, handles 1600W, and its flat down to 24 Hz. Max continuous SPL at 28 Hz is 140 dB. Yikes! And it weighs... 360 lbs!
