pierced 20/20 woofer

Post by mbc0920 » Fri Aug 08, 2003 10:08 am

So, I'm not sure it happened... maybe while i was moving or something, but somehow I managed to put a small (1/4 inch) slit in the cone of my Event 20/20's woofer right near the dustcap. Most of the time it's not that noticeable... only on strong drum hits can you hear it stick out. Is there anyway to repair this, or do I have to buy a new woofer? How much do you think the repair would be... where do you think i could pick up a replacement woofer?

thanks
mark

Have you tried super glue? It will get you by.

I had to replace a tweeter on a 20/20 -- not expensive, and no soldering.

Call Event and get a price, this might be simpler than you think.
