Mic Locker Next addition?

Hello everyone,

I'm in need of a little direction in my next mic purchase.

Here's what I have:

Sennheiser MD-421
Shure SM-58
Shure SM-57
Shure SM-57
AKG D112
Audio Technica PRO37
AKG C414 XLII
AKG C414 XLII

Here are my pre's:
Hamptone 2ch. tube
Sytek (w/BB on 3&4)
Seventh Circle Audio 2ch. A12 (on the way)

Here's what I'm trying to do:

1) Record rock and roll, generally in a instrument by instrument/overdub situation... record drums, then guitars, then organ, etc etc.
2) Record singer/songwriter stuff, stereo acoustic guitar, small percussion.
3) Perhaps record in a live situation, drums, guitar, organ all at once.

Here's what I'm thinking:
1) Get the josephson C42s so I will have a matched pair of SDC, should be great for acoustic, an alternative for the c414s for overheads.
2) Get a royer ribbon mic, great for guitars and acoustic guitar (but I can only get one now... what about stereo acoustic? later I could get another)
3) I'd also like to get another switchable pattern LDC for room/vocals. AT4050? Studio Projects T3? what are better brands?

---what do you guys think?

My budget....>$1.3k mics are out of my budget.

An e609. Yo might like the different color you get on guitars compared to 57's. Assuming you are using 57's on electric guitar.

The royers may not be as good as you think on acoustic guitars.

Yeah, I'd go with some different condenser colours and maybe throw in a cheap but good dynamic too.

Short list of must haves (mostly cheap):

AT 4047 (nice change from your 414's)
Shure SM7 (you don't have a lot of large diaphrahm dynamics, and these can be great on vocals)
Basically any beyerdynamic mics. Mostly cheap:
M88 (rocks on amps! I never use a 57 anymore.)
M201 (snare! toms!)
M160 (overheads, hi-hat, strings.. hypercardoid ribbon)

if it were me i'd want another flavor for vocals. in my experience, 414s are great all purpose mics for instruments, but are more like special purpose mics for vocals.

I'll say it again, AT 4033. works on everything, might not be the BEST choice for EVERYTHING, but you'll get really good, useable sounds out of vocals, acoustic guitars, kick drums, overheads, bass cabs, percussion, etc.

Another one would be the CAD M179, really, really natural, unaffected sounds and it's a 5 polar pattern mic! Retails for $399, you can get them much cheaper.

Check out the Peluso line of mics. They are closely modeled after classic mics such as the Neumann U47. I'm hooked on my Peluso 22-47!!!

Second on the Senn e609. Very useful little mic especially on guitar cabinets. The Josephson C42MP are a good bang for the buck set of mics, you'd have to spend a lot more to get better, the next step up being the Microtech Gefell M300 pair.
An AEA R84 would be great to have around, wonderful for any stringent sources, hand percussion, room mics, bright vocals, guitar cabs.

Concerning LDCs, I would rather have 1 higher quality cardiod large diaphragm condenser before getting a mid-quality multi pattern. Look at the Soundelux U195 it's a killer mic, very versatile, will work on 8 out of 10 sources very nicely.
