My thoughts exactly. That's how I've gotten about half my gear.

I'm imagining with no hands on, but I can't find any specs for my paggage.

OK, but we gotta do a rotation. Only 2 Sino-Ribbons on Ebay at a time, we gotta take turns. Deal?

we put it in front of tony's kay upright bass, into a manley reference pre... don't know about the nulls and all that shit, becuase we were just trying it out as a microphone.... you know, those things that turn sound into electrical signal. anyway, it was pretty wooly, but sounded very detailed and deep about a foot and a half in front of a bass. just had it for a day from a friend, so didn't get to sesh out on figuring out the high tech performance shit, just wether or not it sounded good, and it definately sounded good. it is definately a very different color from my beyer 160. didn't get to a/b it to the tannoy large or the ml52 or anything... would be curious.

I'd be in too...

someone should just start taking paypal for these, and when it hits 100 people, or 50 with 2 apiace its go time. I have a paypal debit card - its a mastercard that debits right out of paypal. But I think the spending limit is 4k. And I have no other credit to offer, and no orginizational skill whatsoever.

Maybe they can engrave them all with "TapeOp Messageboard Freak" or something. Cause thats about the level this is at right here. In a good way of course!

So whom do I pay?

I could probably do one, and depending on when it happens, maybe two. Sweet.

I'd get the ball rolling if I had contact info for the Chinese firm and could figure out any hidden costs. Anyone?

toaster3000 wrote:no, i totally understand (and share) that sentiment, but these are actually pretty fucking good mics... we tried one of the nady's out over here at g, and it was pretty great. for 70 bucks, it's fucking amazing... if it was 500 bucks, it would be mediocre. it's definately a mic that justifies it's existance. it's well built, heavy and solid feeling, and sounds like a ribbon... 3 good things. i don't know how good quality control is, but the one we heard was good.

if someone were to spend a grand on it, i'd say 'fuck that and save up for a cmv563' but for 70 bucks it would be a rediculous steal...

john
I agree, this mic is a steal for the price and not one of those lame impulse purchases, I did not regret dropping the $$$ on it, and I did save up for the Neumnann too so there-
Count me in on the $70
