I built some inser cables. Recreated my classroom layout in OmniGraffle. Smoked two cigarrettes instead of my self prescribed one. Not much else

Went to the dentist first thing in the morning.

Started planning for two new albums for our label. Some recording required. Penny might be able to get another grant from Vic Arts. Promoting Australian Art.... Roy Loney is trying to get his ducks in a row too. We'd cut tracks for that one in Seattle at Egg. Both would get overdubs and mixed here.

Helped Kaz try to finish up the giant jigsaw puzzle that we got for Xmas.

Worked on some percussion parts for a fairly new tune this morning, then headed off to the library to do some big downloads that would take an age to do on dial-up at home. After that i was reminded why i don't eat burger king very often (i ate one) on the way to rehearse for a gig next week. It was with one of the guys from the band i did the abbey road recording with a few weeks back, so i got the photos they took that day too which is cool.
The large print giveth, and the small print taketh away.

Tracked a singer pianist today.
Since I don't have a nice real piano (a Rhodes doesn't count right?), we used the Galaxy Steinway 5.1 piano samples, and I have to say it worked pretty damn good.

We tracked the piano to a click, then added bass, drums, and vocals.
Guitars, more vocals, real B3, and simple percussion will be dubbed soon.
It's strange playing bass to a click and piano, then playing drums to the bass and click, but it seemed to work fine.

Not that exciting, but a day of work none the less.

Visited the Esther Short Park in Vancouver, WA, where I will be running FOH June 18th for the 7th annual MicroBlues Festival produced by Kelly Joe Williams. Nice place with a little grandstand and lots of trees and grass. We'll have hot blues and cold beer, plus lots of good BBQ...

I incorporated my pet food and supplies store today. Now off to the bank tomorrow to get a loan.
Yours,

Piotr

sat in on the first recall mastering session for the record Im finishing. Sushi lunch with said mastering engineer replete with LA hipster trash featuring perfectly ripped jeans and lightly used ac/dc t-shirt,and uber hot flirty waitress who gave me a burnt umber star for my horrible post session burnout wit. Onto coast recoridng supply to laugh at the prices... Set a new land speed record on the way back in traffic...

Fooled Andy Hong into thinking that I'm Joel Hamilton, offering to write a review of the M9 mic... he bit right into it, hook, line, & sinker!

Transferred some 30 songs some only 10 seconds long from cassette to CD for someone who is doing a small side project of there own. Also played guitar a little bit and figured out how to play one of the solos to Zappas song Uncle Remus, Im sure im not playing it note for note but i still thnk it sounds close and pretty damn cool.
Lastly i got an email about recording vocals for someones industrial project, SO im trying to find out more about how they did it and what i need to do to get there tracks into my AW4416 and to present them with a finished product and also something they can use on there own setup later if they want to add to it.

not all to exciting but its my day.

No, a new one. Not anything that has come before. Sounds more like "COP" or "filth" era Swans.

I like that stuff a lot.
