Re: Pacific Pro Audio R-one Ribbon... if you're in read this

The way we got from $70.00 to $95.00 is Shipping, Brokerage and duty. It is possible that it may get down to $90.00, I asked how many would have to be ordered for the next price break, and am going to check with at least one more broker, but at this point that is where it is at.
Here is the worst part, looks like we are NOT going to get in before the Chinese new year, so I am also waiting to hear on a realistic time table. I hope to have all the ifs answered on Monday.
Sorry about the other costs (tax visa etc.) it's just the reality of the cost of doing business, we are simply trying to make sure there are no surprises in the end.
As far as charging Washington Tax, I am required to charge Washington sales tax to anyone who picks the mics up from our store, or if I ship to a WA address, If that is you then there are 3 ways around it. 1) Ship outside WA. (duh) 2) purchase it for resale (requires you have a WA business license) or, 3) Come in and pick them up but have current ID from MT, AK or OR.

More on Monday I hope

I'd love one of these and will pay--I'll take two if they'll be coming in twos. Thanks for this opportunity, Garth! I'll keep my eyes open for the email address and 800 number.

$100 for a pretty good ribbon is a hell of a price, even if you've been anticipating $70.

This is still a great deal. Thank you to everyone who has put in all this work!

yeah, it's still a totally great deal. thank you so much for hooking it up Garth!!

the warranty thing is a bit disturbing tho, i must admit. if a mic shows up DOA would it be replaced by PPA?

edit: personally, i prefer the model without the attached cable. i dont know what its # is, but that's the one i want.

also, i dont care what it says on the mic (tapeop or PPA). "tapeop" on the mic would be ok too, i really dont care.

I guess I should have raised the number, so now it's 142. Or 141.5.

I'm in for one, and would willingly front cash to buy 2, then deliver the second to anyone around NYC, downstate NY or northern Jersey. If anyone's in on a split, let me know.

Now it's prob'ly 142.

i''d love to get two, and can and will pay.
great opportunity, thanks for that!

but that still leaves the question if they are 'shippable' to holland/europe ...
and if that's possible, what would shipping cost?

cheers,
will
