So I picked this up at a thrift store for like $7...its just an old stero cassette deck but it had VU meters and gain adjust so I thought it might be useful/cool to run things through.

Any suggestions on what I can do to make it sound its best and anyone have any idea what its best might be (and if the answer to this is "shitty" well then it was only $7).
