new february tape op magazine....

Post by dr.ona » Sun Jan 30, 2005 2:45 pm

i just picked up the new jan/feb tape op magazine.
has anyone else got this one yet?
i changed my mailing address and wanted to know if this is
"hot off the press" or if it's been out for awhile.

Is it the one with Carole Kaye?
I got that one about a week and a half ago.
It's very good, but that kind of goes without saying.

I got it Friday, best one I've read yet (and they've all been great). Ready for the next one...I was thinking the other day that I would galdly pay for a subscription if it enabled Tapeop to become monthly (daily would be better, but hey...).

one of the reasons im asking this question is because i live in oregon and it seems as though my magazine is ALWAYS LATE!!

correct me if im wrong but.....larry is from oregon.
jackpot is in oregon.
larry started tape op.
why can't i get my tape op sooner?

is tape op a magazine that sits on the stands in other states or is it only in oregon that you can find it everywhere?

Yes, I'm in Oregon. The mag is printed in Little Rock and mailed from there. You think I'm sitting down here at Jackpot! with 35,000 mailing labels and stamps sending these out?

Larry, I guess the rumors of a back room full of midgets stacked two high licking stamps at Jackpot! isnt true then?

Got mine last week too and it's a good one...One thing I noticed, and not in a bad way, is that the number of advertisers has gone up...which is fine because they help pay the bills, and it's also nice to see ads from other companies in order to get an understanding of new gear that's being released...

I liked it too, and the comment by Valentine that English bands, like Zep & Floyd, sounded good because of the CCIR EQ on European tape machines (instead of NAB) was interesting. Wish I had a way of testing that with my TEACs

I got mine today and I'm in Germany. It always arrives pretty much on time here.
So far, I've just skipped through the mag and I really like the article about modding the 3630.
The front page is a beauty. Good work!

Larry - Any chance TapeOp will become monthly rather than bi-monthly? That would be great.
