I like how the ad says "Once you use a ribbon microphone you will throw away ALL your other microphones."

Holy hole in a donut, batman!!
I'm glad that Americans are back on the map again when it comes to quality ribbon microphones. I should order one and throw all my other ribbon mics away.
AMERICAN EAGLE, there's an almost unbearable amount of sarcasm to the name.

-"overall stunning realism" to me that sounds like a Henry James novel.

-"an increased off-axis high frequency response on sides with decreased high response above and below on-axis through lower audio" That's the best sentence! Do they really know what they are saying? Do they know what a figure-of-eight polar pattern is?

- "The style and specifications of this microphone surpasses all other ribbon microphones that have been produced in past years". Of course, what else.

- "designed after the classical RCA 77 DX studio microphone", wasn't that a poly-directional mic?

The funny thing is, if the whole PPA-China thing wouldn't have come up, it probably would have been an interesting microphone.
I've tried the German Thomann T.Bone version of it (about $170) and was shocked how good it sounded.

And what if I don't *want* to throw away all my other microphones?

"Swievel Bracket" is a good name for a band.
