Pacific Pro Audio R-one Ribbon engraving and logo

Post by versuviusx » Tue Feb 01, 2005 3:04 pm

OK so we are also going to be able to get an engraving or a logo put on the mic. and guess what it cost Nothing. it's absolutley Free!!!!

so i'm thinking about this logo with Tape Op in the back Ground. i think it would be great and perfect for the people who are buying this.

Image

we could have it all in red or it's possible all this design would be engraved.

i want approval of the design and i want to know if everyone is fine with this idea. if it is discovered that the design is not what everyone wants...i think we should come up with one that would be appropiate. too me it's not really a big deal, but since it is free it would be cool to have a kick ass design or logo. i think the rooster is really cool and i think the logo of tape OP in the back ground would be the icing on the cake.

please read and let me know what you think. thanks

Am I missing something here? Why a rooster? Is there a pun flying over my head?

FYI I'm actually a graphic designer by trade (engineer at night only) and a pretty durned good one if I do say so. So, if we need some help for something more custom...

I think the Cock logo is cool enough. I like the idea of having a logo, I really don't care what it is. Maybe something that says "2005"?

if you're a graphic designer. then maybe you could come up with a great design. the rooster was suggested because of the chinese new year. it is chinese mic and it looks cool anyways. i think incorporating the year 2005 and Tape OP in the logo would be cool too.

here are some ideas, but i know you could do a way better job.

I'd go with the TapeOp logo.

I'm confused here. Garth didn't mention a logo in any thread I've seen. Am I missing something? Link, please. That said, (.Y.) is pretty nice, with Tape Op underneath.

Rooster's nice, though I'd just prefer the TO logo.

regarding the boobs and the emotidong.. seriously, they should be considered. if we make the logo look "real", then whats the point of designing a logo?

it is certainly far more in the tapeop spirit to make something fiercely uncorporate.

(.Y.) and umm.. the 8====PPA=====D - - - -

there is no way in 200 billion years any company hoping to sell microphones would put something like that on.

that is why we should do it.

I like the idea of the TapeOp logo, personally...

How about just a simple reel like on the TapeOp.com navigation box? The rooster is a bit much IMNSHO.

A logo would be fine. The less words the better, in my opinion. The chinese cock is ok. Tape Op in a nice typed looking text would be nice as well. Cock, text or text-cock combo has my go ahead.
