Wondering if anyone has used URPRESSING for vinyl
Their website is http://www.urpressing.com/. I have a client that is looking to press a 7" release and they were looking at these guys. I just wanted to know if anyone has used them before and if so how was your experience.
Thanks,
Greg

I've put out a couple 7" pressed by them, and played on 10+ that have been
pressed there. I also did a tour of their plant recently. I can't complain one
bit about it. It's cheap, but very respectably quality, and very nice people.
I would use them again.

I've used them before. I was happy with what I got. I didn't use their in-house mastering, though. My buddies label uses them almost exclusively for 7". His webpage is whatelserecords.com

Anyone who made a 7" in the 90's used them, especially punk and hadcore stuff on the east coast. I did a few things with them, and it always works. who cares about an "audiophile" 7" anyway? The vinyl is fine, and they are nice people that do good work. Cool swirly vinyls and colors and stuff. That is fun. The clear vinyl always seemed the thickest if you care.

mmm the 10" i have from them on clear is thick...noticably...if you want thick stuff on the cheap use the czeck plant...i have like a 180gram 7"...it's like a plate...i do not however know of any record being mastered by united...only pressed...most of the stuff i have personally in my collection has gone through aardvark or erika...

check out the reviews on indiecentre.com - some people had weak experiences. they pretty much ignore your order if you're pressing something with profanity or samples...

I've put out a few 7"s with them in the 90's. I had a good experience with them, though the black vinyl is a little thin (you can sort of see through it) but the swirled colored vinyl is awesome.
I didn't think anyone made them anymore since most college radio DJs are now too young to remember how to use turntables

Since Alberit folded a couple years ago, United is pretty much the best place for 7" vinyl in the US. Outside of that, I think most gets outsourced to the Czech republic.
