It is getting kinda rediculous, huh? Makes it especially difficult to sort through posts when everyone has a 1280x960  avatar and a three paragraph long signature.... sigh....
When in doubt, try it anyway... it just might work.

Thanks Garth! I'll be calling in my order tomorrow...

Man, I CANNOT wait to get these again. We are going to do another EP this March and this will bring my grand total of mics up to... 6! Yay!

And my first ribbons! I've never used them before. Double yay!

...wait, just to make sure, no phantom power on these suckers right?

I'm going to try them on everything!
I get satisfaction of three kinds. One is creating something, one is being paid for it and one is the feeling that I haven?t just been sitting on my ass all afternoon.

That's the one thing I haven't really heard a firm answer on...when should we expect these things? 1 month, 3 months?

Delivery....
The factory claims they can make them in 2-3 weeks, about 3 (maybe 4) weeks on the water, however it will be about 3 weeks before they come back from the New Year thing. SO safe number is probably 2 1/2 to 3 months. Could be earlier, I will email them today and try to get more specific now that I know when we will be sending the money.

Logo...
I don't care what everyone decides on for a logo, there is a whole thread going on logo design. However somebody went off on "engraving", I never looked into that, my guess is "screening" would be no extra charge, or so small I would cover it, but engraving is probably a few dollars a mic?
Plan on screening. I would need art work in the next couple of weeks. ALSO many people have said they wanted "Tape-Op" as part of the logo, no problem, but we can not run around using someones logo without their express permission.

How about TOMB (for tape op messageboard)? Then we don't have to worry about using Larry's logo, and we'll all know what it means.

My vote is no logo, no engraving, no screening... just plain.

My mostly worthless opinion on the logo thing is: it would be cool to have a tasteful logo to identify these mics as "special", but no way we should make reference to tapeop. That's Larry's thing, and his only. But, if there is no logo, I could care less, it's still gonna be a mic, and it's still gonna sound the same, which is THE most important thing.

yeah, ditto the no logo thing, mostly because I wouldn't want figuring it out to slow down the mics. Maybe we can make a metal nameplate for those dorky enough to want it (like me) that can be applied after the fact.

please, please, please no logo..... in 6 years is a faded, half worn off TOMB or any silly chinese zodiac thing going to look cool? hells no. just a plain mic would cool great. buy a paint marker and draw a dolphin on it or something if you want a logo.

I've ordered mine, and I'd also like to pitch in for NO LOGO.
