anyone worked with Cravedog?

Post by housepig » Sat Feb 05, 2005 7:39 am

I'm looking at some cd press options and Cravedog is looking pretty good in their price quotes, and they seem like nice guys (on the phone, at least).. took some serious time to explain stuff, seemed interested in what I'm putting out, etc.

anyone have experience working with them? are they as good as first impressions seem?

After having a string of annoying problems with another mfg, I was solicited by Cravedog. My first encounter was just a repressing of one of our releases. We already had art work printed. It was smoothly and they are nice people.

I am currently in the process of a new release that they will handle from beginning to end. The design has just been finished and should be on the way to Cravedog. We shall see.

Todd and Cravedog have been around the Portland area for a long, long time. Can't go wrong there.

Not really a hijack here, but is there a comparable East Coast dup'er? Someone in and about New York that you all like, trust, and find a good value in? thanks!

Cravedog was awesome for my last band. They even helped with album art (part of a package deal). Very patient, professional, helpful. Good stuff all around. Keep in mind that they're just a broker - all CDs get pressed in the same couple factories, at least that used to be the case.

We *almost* used Cravedog for our last release, but had already started it with GoldenROM before we got enough info on Cravedog.

Rich at GoldenROM (they're on the East Coast) was great to work with - they totally accommodated our nitpicky-ness and were on time with everything.

A few years ago I did a CD with them and had some problems. Todd was very busy and hard to reach, but he was very good about offering a solution.

i did a disk through cravedog. it was no hassle, and cheap to boot. i was sold once i heard what the shipping would be.. $50 freight! no UPS! compared to my last runs which were done in canada and then mailed to me ground, this was a major blessing!
