Fostex parts needed...

Post by Mark Alan Miller » Mon Feb 07, 2005 7:36 pm

...specifically a source for belts for the Fostex A-8 LR that a friend of mine has.
Anyone know of a supplier? Our local tech is coming up empty so far, and he's usually very resouceful.
Thanks all...

I'm a Fostex authorized repair tech. Let me see what I have, and I'll PM you tomorrow.

Okay. I normally don't do this, but I'd like one last set of eyes on this question before it sinks to the bottom of the pile - it's a favor for a friend, that I'm asking, so:

BUMP.

You might go to Homerecording.com and try the analog section there.
There is a guy that goes by A reel person. He works on alot of his own gear and has mentioned a place he gets belts from.

Long live Analog

The guy who refurbished my Fostex B-16 was able to replace the belt on it so he might be to help you. He's in the Valley (North of L.A.). PM me if you want his phone #.
