So who is this 'we' then Thom? I think everybody knows that i played the fucking cowbell all over that record, you didn't even want to use it you little runt. You were all like "Oh no, that'd make us all rock n roll, and i'm a little girly singer with thoughts and dreams and fears and hopes and moles and arthritis and a dicky eye and that just wouldn't fit with my image and silly fucking hair", and i just bitch-slapped you, put you back in line like the little bitch that you have become, no strike that, always were, with your girlie little songs about silly little concerns, you bitch.

I've never told you this but i fucking hate you and your stupid lyrics and your thinking your clever when your not, i'm only in the band cos there's money in it and we only put you up the front so we can do blinky impressions behind your back.

Cunt.

'We' used the cowbell on Kid A, you didn't you little bitch. That was all me, the cowbell, the drums, and all the cymbals too.
All smart people are bald, just check out Duncan Goodhew.

So, uh, Phil... which Rad Monkey Cowbell model was your favorite preset? I'm eager to hear this thing in action...

Phil,

Listen. I have known you for a long time and this is not the first time you have gotten all pissy about something. I think you are just upset that the poontang I reel in with my awesome rockstar power is so much more than you can possibly imagine. Also, you look really funny. Funnier than me, if thats possible.

*schlurp* *schlurp*

Keep it down, honey, I am trying to make Phil feel better.

Are you possibly missing the point or just yanking my turban?

Yeah, I know that the whole MIDI triangle thing and electric cowbell are just jokes if that answers your question.

So is this a joke or what? Please tell me no-one on Planet Earth is this stupid.

It's fucking hilarious either way.

oops. Didn't read the post before mine.

Sweet. Who has so much time on their hands to build a site like that, though?
I find adherence to fantasy troubling and unreasonable.

I'd say about half the people on this board, for starters.

I have never known a cowbell not to cut through, atleast the one's I have.
I was on a session recently for the Latin Grammy's where the drummer actually did complain that the cowbell didn't cut through enough. I had to run in and throw up a dedicated "cowbell mic". The whole time the drummer was telling me it's "very important for this kind of music", which is true, but i thought i was gonna shit my pants. I guess he had a fever...
haha. I have actually had a very similar experience in the past. It was while providing live sound for a Latin rock band for a school project. The crowd was about 40 people max. No problem hearing his cowbell or claves cut through clear to the back where we were mixing, however he wouldn't go without a mic.
I guess everyone loves mics. The most amazing thing about that night was the fact that 6 kids (myself included) were left in charge of running live sound for this project, nearly completely unsupervised and not only did it go off without a hitch, nothing was lost or stolen! Actually a whirlwind D.I. box was lost for about 20 minutes or so, and magically reappeared once it's whereabouts were questioned. That is pretty incredible in my book.
