Bright Eyes Guitar Playing?

Post by Wilkesin » Fri Feb 11, 2005 5:12 pm

The new Im Wide Awake album credits Jesse Harris as playing quite a bit of guitar on the album. Seems unusual because what i know of him is that he is someone major labels bring in to write/co-write on albums for people (Ricky Fante, Norah Jones).

Anyone know what this is about, or the circumstances regarding the recording of the album?

I'm into the songs, but there sure are a lot of lame ass session man licks on that album, a pretty generic backing band in general.

He is a friend Conor met while living in New York. He did not help on the writing much if at all.

Well, I don't know anything about the album, but I do know that Jesse is a totally nice guy and great musician who also happens to write fantastic songs. His band, The Ferdinandos, is comprised of some of the better musicians in NYC.
