Off to LA

Post by Huntlabs » Tue Feb 15, 2005 10:13 am

Going to LA to visit friends and familly for the first time in years. Off to the airport in a few hours. Going to Disney Land for a few days, not by choice and I'm taking a guitar....

Anywhere I should go visit? Any sights to see? Was thinking about visiting a drum manufacturer in Aneheim and maybe going to Hollywood GC.

Ideas?

Condolances?

PS: I'd rather stay home with my dogs and record... Time to smile and make lemonade!

Might happen if they are looking for a 40 year old, blond, skinny with little love handles and pasty white skin version of the Rock.

Maybe I'll run into Ashley Simpson and I can listen to her use another excuse for her SNL Lip synch no talens F up.

Maybe there is Porn in LA? Or is that just on the internet?

Friday night would be a good night to see famous producer Jon Brion do his weekly amazingness at Largo
or Jonathan Richman and Dengue Fever are playing at King King
or The Blue Hawaiians are at the Lava Lounge

Saturday night the Beat Junkies are playing at the Knitting Factory, they are awesome.
Blood Brothers are at the Roxy

Kill your record budget for a year at Sea Level Records and Amoeba

Try a famous Pinks Hot Dog on LaBrea after drinking late at night

Go shopping for aged-threads on Melrose

Check out the Fairfax Flea market on Sunday

Enjoy the wonderful weather, it plays here.

I agree with Red Rockets.. but, instead of Pink's, please go to Jay's Jayburger, it's on the corner of santa monica and virgil.

Amoeba is a must, Pinks a great diversion. I'll add Chez Jay's in Santa Monica. Onetime hangout of Dennis Wilson, Frank Sinatra, etc. A small seaside dump for a cheap dinner and some drinks.
