I think I'm the stereotypical cheap bastard home recordist. All my stuff is pretty cheap, for the most part:

Inputs/Preamps/Recording:
- SoundCraft Spirit Folio SX (currently in the shop -- see my thread from yesterday. ugh.)
- Aphex 107
- Art Tube MP
- Presonus TubePre
- MOTU 2048 MK I
- Pioneer RT-1020L 1/4" 2-track Reel-to-Reel
- G4 Dual 450, ton of RAM, LaCie External Drive
- DAW Software: Undecided. Using Tracktion and Garageband 2 now for messing around. Thinking about Logic or Digital Performer. Although Tracktion is kind of cool.

Monitoring/Routing:
- Samson C-Control
- Samson Q5 headphone amp
- Wharfedale Diamond Pro 8.2 Active monitors
- Sony MDR 7506
- Ultra-cheap AP Audio 48-point patchbay

Outboard:
- (2) dbx 163x
- Alesis ModFX Ampliton

Mics:
- MXL V67G
- SM 58
- SM 57
- (2) Behringer ecm8000
- AKG D880
- (2) Superlux PRA-218A (for kick and bass cabinet mic'ing)
- Nady Starpower
- Generic 58 ripoff
- (2) Sony F-97 Dynamic Mics (from old sony Reel-to-Reel deck)
- Soon-ish: 2 TapeOp Cheap Bastard Ribbon Mics

Keys:
- M-Audio Keystation 49e
- Yamaha PSS-270 Portasound Voicebank Keyboard
- HMP-138 Songmax -- son's cheesy toy keyboard

Guitars/Basses/Effects:
- Telecaster copy, built by Jeff @ Old Town Music in Portland
- Dillion DL600GT -- Les Paul Goldtop Knockoff
- Some vintage no-name department store electric guitar
- Epiphone AJ 18S-OG Acoustic Guitar
- Heavily Modified Kramer P-Bass knockoff
- Tech 21 Trademark 120 Amp (w/ Sansamp direct out)
- Epiphone Battery Powered Practice Amp (my son's)
- Arion Stereo Analog Delay
- Arion Tubulator
- Radio Shack Mini-Amplifier Speaker

Drums:
- Roland V-Compact E-Drums
- Rogers '70s 4-piece kit

It's amazing how much time I can waste with cataloging this stuff while my kid is home sick with the stomach flu.

Pretty basic,

http://oktoberpeople.com/silverchord/index.html

I am at the point where any decent upgrades are going to cost thousands......convertors, pres, mics....
