your favorite Makeout Music
I assume I'm not the only one who likes to find the right album/albums to compliment the act/art of lovemaking. The tendency is to choose music similar to that played in the background of movie sex scenes, which is often soft and without vocals, slow downbeat stuff like Enigma or Air or even Massive Attack (sans vocals). It has been medically proven that the sound of Sade will induce hand-holding or even heavy petting, while Neil Diamond causes sexual dysfunction in both males and females. What do y'all listen to when, you know?

you mean the "Whisky Dick Mix"?
i'de like to see time-life music come out with that one!
There is this remix of Sigur Ros's "Mykur" from an artist named Ilo
that is long and...um... really climactic.

Miles Davis "Sketches of Spain" and John Coltrane's "Ole'" would be consistent favs in this house...possibly, the Twin Peaks soundtrack or Kruder & Dorfmeisters "K & D sessions".

There's this song on the radio by some group named The Cooler Kids called "Hey Girl", or something along the lines of that. I've heard it a few times and it always makes me want to break out the glow sticks, drop some ecstacy and get with a raver girl.

Re: your favorite Makeout Music
a few years back when I was in college, I made a 6 hour SLP videotape using the HIFI tracks that was a mix of music deemed by me to be appropriate for gettin it on, which of course included Let's Get It On in its entireity, the moondance album, kind of blue and Sneaking Sally thru the Alley as well as choice cuts from INnervisions and Talking Book.
I spent a whole day making it. I should have realized that it really only needed to be about two maybe three minutes long...

What about what NOT to listen to?
My NO votes go to Weird Al's "Dare to Be Stupid," and anything by Rush or Van Halen.

Seeing some good stuff on everyone's lists...Sketches of Spain, hell yeah!
Best time I can recall was with "Free Jazz", if you can believe that.
