Help my band choose a cover for our CD!!

Post by Cellotron » Mon Oct 13, 2003 9:59 pm

Greetings Forumsters -
My string quartet, Invert, currently has two different design concepts that we're trying to decide between for the cover of our upcoming second CD - and to help us make this decision we figured it would be fun to actually take an informal survey of our friends feedback through the web.

Please check out our cover contest at:

http://www.invert.org/cover.htm

and let us know which of the two is your favorite by filling out the online form.

Voting will end on Wednesday, October 15th - so please vote today!

The CD should come out in mid-December. You can hear previews of tracks from it in Ogg Vorbis format (playable with Winamp) and Real Audio at
http://www.invert.org/music.htm

Thanks for your help with this!

Best regards,
Steve Berson

Both look like serious efforts but my immediate reaction was all on number one. Its got that kinda 60's cover thing going with what looks like a simple spiral but then closer look reveals an old string. Definitely number 1 C'est super cool.

Dude....

Hands down....ONE! They are both "nice" but ONE is interesting....I'd wanna know what that disc was like whereas I doubt the other would catch my attention.

Just a couple of cents!

No really....you owe me a couple of cents now.

number two for the general public or for mass appeal, IMHO it would sell better. Thinking marketing and mass appeal here...

I love 'em both!
Who designed them?

#1, definitely...

#2 looks like a windham hill cover or something equally bad (which i assume your music's not)

Totally #1 - the string sets my eye in motion and it looks like something just happened (or is happening). 2 is nice, but it feels more formal. I'd only buy it if I had one of your previous albums and knew I liked you.
