i got one. i love it. but i don't have any super expensive mics to compare it to.
it's great on my voice and acoustic guitars. the multi pattern dial is so nice.
but i've never owned a tube mic before, except the AT3060 which doesnt even
compare, so maybe i'm just awe-struck cause my ears are naive. but i've found it
very valuable in recording vocals especially.

that and the sm7 together, with the sm7 close and the K2 more roomy omni, is
really nice.

I had one of these. A soundelux iFET7. It sounded cool but I sold it because the stand mount pissed me off so much, as did Soundelux. I spent a wad of cash and the stand mount did not even work. It was threaded way to big. I e-mailed Soundelux about it 4 or 5 times and never did get a response. Now that is customer service! The bolt holding the mount to the mic body kept coming loose and you had to take the mic apart to tighten it. Genious. I had to e-mail the distributor for Canada which is in England. After a huge headache and waiting a month for a new arm, I sold it on ebay out of spite. I would like to own other Soundelux mics but I guess you have to spend more than $2000 to get any customer service.
I know enough to know that I don't know what I am doing.
