Hmm...

Pilot would have been perfect, but it's not there anymore...

Check these guys out: www.bushwickstudio.com

I haven't been there yet, but I've been looking for an excuse to check it out.

Sorry, I always forget about your studio because I haven't done anything there yet. You've been set up in the neighborhood for quite a while now, right?

I should check it sometime. Looks damn cool on the website.

Will tells me he's been working on relocating the studio to Hudson NY. It's apparently an even bigger and better space. He sounded very excited about it. However, The website still hasn't changed as of the last time I checked.

I've also heard a couple folks say that he's been a little bit out of touch with people recently. I guess he's got a lot on his hands. Building a studio is a big undertaking.

A friend of mine said he dropped by there a couple months ago, hoping to visit me, and was surprised to find the studio wasn't open anymore. I don't know what will happen to the space. I think the Real Estate company on that floor has been itching to add it to there space. It's a shame. It was a well-designed room. Very efficient use of space. I think Frank Comentale did the design.

I've been told that a recent issue of Mix had a misprint and credited me with designing the room. That's crazy. I was probably about 9 years old when that room was designed! I hope Frank Comentale didn't read that one....

NY Studio With Hammond & Leslie

Post by Mixologist » Sun Nov 18, 2007 1:28 pm

Hello!
Would like to tell you (and everyone else on the board) about our studio, Hot Sound. After 15 years in Manhattan, we have moved to a great sunny loft with 15' ceilings. We have a rebuilt Hammond & Leslie (with foot pedals), and a Baldwin grand piano We have over 30 mics of all varieties, a vintage NEVE console, 2" Studer, PT HD with Apogee converters, as well as a lot of classic compressors. We are wired throughout with Mogomi cable.
We welcome any freelance engineers or bands that need a well-maintained, confortable place to work that sounds amazing. We have 3 rooms available, and our prices are reasonable. In addition, we're nice people who are genuinely helpful and skilled.
Go to:
www.hotsound.com
www.myspace.com/hotsoundstudios

or call us @ 718 768-1560

Thanks, and we hope to talk to you soon!
